Mission 300 is the largest electrification effort Africa has ever seen: the World Bank and the African Development Bank, thirty-six countries, endless partners, one goal of connecting 300 million people to electricity by 2030. Fifty million are already connected, they announced in June, and the count is climbing.
But here is the problem. Nobody asked the communities whether their lights actually came on, because no form exists to ask. M300 live is that form, and it lives in your hands. You tell the count about your evening, from any phone. Answers come back within a fortnight. And in the middle, we engage the people; we bring them in to solve the bottlenecks, and, receipt by receipt, talk by talk, bottleneck fixed by bottleneck, everyone builds a count everyone is proud of, and the whole world can see.

M300 live talks are short talks by African speakers who live electrification: mini-grid operators, solar engineers, teachers, nurses, market traders, entrepreneurs. They keep one simple promise, three times over: fully African-led, tied to the mission, and ending with something you can do that same day. The first one happens on a market day in Ghana's Northern Region, held in Dagbani.
When people are informed, they participate. When they feel involved, they collaborate. When they trust the mission, they carry it forward.
Short talks by African speakers who live electrification: the mini-grid operator, the solar engineer, the teacher whose classroom finally has light. Told where you already gather, in your own language, and every talk ends with something you can do that same day.
The mission has real bottlenecks: connection delays, payment friction, last-mile gaps. Fixathons put them in front of mixed teams, engineers beside designers beside community voices, with mentors who keep it real, and end with a pilot ready to test.

M300 live starts where the mission is already moving: Ghana and Ethiopia first, then Tanzania and northern Nigeria. The first Talk takes place on a market day in Dagbani. Out of all this participation, the campaign's first outcome grows: the count. Two columns, side by side: connections announced, evenings of light delivered. It starts at zero, because nobody has ever taken this measure. From the first receipt onward, it becomes the mission's proof, kept by the people themselves, published monthly, answered in public.
